Ansem...

The Seeker of Darkness. The main enemy of Kingdom Hearts and Riku’s side of the story on Chain of Memories. Ansem was, once upon a time, the ruler of a peaceful Hollow Bastion. He began to study the Heartless, the creatures of darkness. He learned much of them…but even Ansem could not stop the power of darkness from slowly but surely overtaking him, until it became his obsession and belief that darkness was all-powerful and that he is the master of it.

DiZ...

Yes, that is what he is called. We meet up with this guy in Chain of Memories. He is seen impersonating Ansem in a screenshot of Kingdom Hearts 2. His whole body is covered with red mummy-like bandages and he is believed to be Ansem's body that he cast off when he became a heartless. He helps Riku along with subtle hints during Chain of Memories and in Kingdom Hearts 2 he is trying to destroy Organization XIII.

Donald...

Mickey’s royal magician. He has a big temper problem. He is sent, along with Goofy, to find the keybearer and stay with him. He does, and joins Sora on his journey while searching for King Mickey.

Goofy...

Mickey’s royal knight. He is an easy-going, easy to get along with person. He, along with Donald, is sent to find the keybearer and to stay with him. He does, and joins Sora on his journey while searching for his king.

Hayner...

Hayner lives in Twilight Town with Roxas, Pence, and Hayner. Together they fight against the bully Seifer and his gang. Hayner is Roxas' best friend and competes against him in the Struggle.

Kairi...

The friend of Sora and Riku, from Destiny Islands. Both of them love Kairi. When the Heartless attack Destiny Islands, it is unknown at the time where she is. Riku finds her body, but her heart is gone. In truth her heart was with Sora all along. It turns out that Kairi is one of the seven princesses of heart needed to open the final keyhole that Maleficent was searching for. Sora unlocks his own heart to free Kairi and now she awaits his return to her on Destiny Islands.

King Mickey...

The king of Disney Castle and the Yoda of the Kingdom Hearts universe. Mickey's knowledge of light and darkness exceeds even Ansem's. Mickey stands for everything on the side of the light, and knows as much as anyone the dangers of darkness, having been trapped in Kingdom Hearts. Mickey has his own keyblade, and is extremely skillful with it. Mickey was last seen in Chain of Memories wearing one of Organization XIII's trademark black cloaks, along with Riku and DiZ.

Naminč...

In CoM she was being forced by the Organization to reconstruct Sora's memories. She is even forced to replace Kairi with herself in his memories. Once Sora gets to the top of Castle Oblivion, he discovers her and the truth. Namine puts Sora into a sort of hibernation that will restore all of his memories, but he will forget everything that happened in the castle, including her. They make a promise to see each other again. We learn along the way that Namine is Kairi's shell. In KH2, DiZ is recruiting people with certain powers to destroy Organization XIII, which include Namine.

Olette lives in Twilight Town and hangs out with Roxas, Pence, and Hayner. She is the responsible one of the group and is always reminding the boys of their homework.

Pence...

Pence lives in Twilight Town with his friends Roxas, Olette, and Hayner. He is an easygoing and nice person. He is not a fighter like his friends Roxas and Hayner, but he supports them nevertheless.

Pete...

Pete is a villian who originated in the cartoon "Steamboat Willie". He is a villian that appears in many of the worlds in KH2, and although he has big plans, he never really knows what he is doing, much unlike his "boss" Maleficent. Together Pete and Maleficent bring back a few of the bosses from the first game, such as Jafar and Oogie Boogie.

Riku...

Riku is best friends with Sora and Kairi, and lived on Destiny Islands with them. He was the true keyblade master, but when he began to accept the darkness the keyblade left him and became Sora’s. Ansem possessed Riku’s heart, but after Ansem was defeated, his heart was released and Riku was sent to Kingdom Hearts. In Chain of Memories he fights through Castle Oblivion defeating the dark people from his memories and in the end he decides to defeat Ansem himself instead of lock him inside of his heart.

Roxas...

Roxas is who was, for about two years, known as BHK (for Blonde-Headed Kid). He lives in Twilight Town with his friends Pence, Olette, and Hayner, and is the only playable character besides Sora in this game. He is a very mysterious character and we don't really know much about him except that he has a connection with.

Sora...

Sora is the main character of all Kingdom Hearts games to date. He is the master of the weapon known as the keyblade, which can save worlds or destroy them depending on its master’s will. A normal boy from Destiny Islands, Sora had been having these weird thoughts and dreams where a voice would speak to him of his destiny and other things. He didn’t know if “any of this was for real, or not”. Sora and his two best friends, Riku & Kairi decided to build a raft to get away from their island and go see other worlds. However, the night before they were to leave, a storm hit the island. Not just any storm, heartless had now invaded the island and would soon have it destroyed. So then Sora's real journey begun, to find Riku and Kairi.
