Organization XIII KH2
Organization XIII (also known as "The Organization") is an secret society of human-like Nobodies introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the Nintendo Gameboy® Advance. They are beings called the Organization XIII now, simple as that. XIII symbolizing the number of members in the Organization - 13. Each member has a number - the numbers being based on the order in which they joined, not necessarily how important to the plot or how powerful they are. The members of Organization XIII are all advanced forms of Nobodies, who kept human forms when they lost their heart and became a Nobody, because they had a very strong heart. At least some of this group of people were at a place known as Castle Oblivion in "Chain of Memories". They all wore long black cloaks, and that is the easiest way to identify them. All of the members have rearranged the letters in their original names and added an "X" to it, thus making their new names. Certain members were trying to bring both Sora and Riku under their control during Chain of Memories for their own purposes. Organization XIII is not without its internal disputes. The nature of Organization XIII is revealed throughout Kingdom Hearts II. In this game, they tried to attain Kingdom Hearts so that they could have hearts of their own and become whole, but at the expense of the worlds. They tried to trick Sora and his friends by appearing to have hearts.
Xemnas is the Nobody of Xehanort. He is the leader of the Organization, and the main antagonist of Kingdom Hearts II. His original self was named Xehanort, but prior to becoming a Nobody he took his master's name, Ansem. He controls Sorcerer Nobodies, and in battle he uses Aerial Blades and manipulates nothingness to phase through solid matter and manifest energy-based shields and projectiles. In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Xemnas appears as an optional boss in Hollow Bastion, called "Unknown" but is also known as "The Enigmatic Man". In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, he is infrequently spoken of by the members of the Organization, who refer to him only as the "Superior", which is his title.
Xigbar is a senior member and number II of the Organization who appears in Kingdom Hearts II. He is also referred to as the "Freeshooter" He controls Sniper Nobodies, and in battle, he uses Gun Arrows and manipulates space to teleport himself, warp his bullets, and levitate upside down. Little of him is known, but he was formerly a scientist of Ansem the Wise, known as Braig.
He is also known as the "Whirlwind Lancer". Xaldin's original self was named Dilan, one of Ansem the Wise's scientists. With his powers, he uses wind to manipulate his six lances and shield himself. Xaldin's lances can transform into a dragon-shaped contraption to attack opponents with whirlwinds. He controls lance-wielding Dragoon Nobodies.
Vexen is a scientist who appears in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. He is also known as the "Chilly Academic". Vexen's original self was Even, also a scientist of Ansem the Wise, and he was interested in studying Xehanort's memories. Vexen can control ice and carries a large shield in battle that blocks any frontal attacks made against him.
Lexaeus is a well-built fighter in Organization XIII's ranks and one of the two members of the Organization in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories that only appears in Riku's story. He is also known as the "Silent Hero". His original self was Aeleus, a guard that worked at Ansem the Wise's castle. He combines earth magic with his giant tomahawk/axesword when fighting.
Zexion is a manipulator appearing in Chain of Memories. He is also known as the "Cloaked Schemer". Zexion's original self was Ansem the Wise's youngest lab assistant named Ienzo. He was first brought to Ansem's lab by his father, but soon died. When this happened, Ansem adopted Ienzo as his own. He convinced Ansem the Wise that they should build an underground lab for research. Zexion uses his power of illusion, used to mimic others' weapons, disguise himself as others, and create duplicates of himself. His unique weapon is a lexicon, a huge book. He greatly disfavored fighting, however, but was forced to do it when both Vexen and Lexaeus were taken out and he had to face Riku on his own.
Saïx appears in Kingdom Hearts II. He is also known as the "Luna Diviner". He has an X-shaped scar on his face and wields a claymore. He draws power from the moon and controls the Berserker Nobodies, who wield weapons like his own. He has a place as one of the masterminds behind Organization XIII's plot.
Axel, who utilizes a pair of chakrams, as well as fire with the Assassin Nobodies under his control, appears in both Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. He is also referred to as "Flurry of Dancing Flames". Axel can create walls of fire or throw his weapons. He and Roxas became best friends while they were in the Organization together.
Demyx was first introduced in Kingdom Hearts II. He is also referred to as the "Melodious Nocturne". He uses a sitar as his weapon. With a strum of his strings, he release multiple water clones, in which you have to defeat in the time elapsed before attacking Demyx, himself. He controls the Dancer Nobodies.
Luxord is described by Jiminy Cricket as "a master of rhetoric". He was first introduced in Kingdom Hearts II and is also known as the "Gambler of Fate". His lesser Nobodies are Gambler Nobodies. With games of luck, Luxord is able to transform Sora into a card or a die; and uses his cards as weapons, defense or hiding places. Luxord also has power over time.
Marluxia is a relatively new recruit to the Organization courtesy of Xigbar. Marluxia is lord of Castle Oblivion and Sora's main antagonist in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. He is also referred to as the "Graceful Assassin". He uses a scythe and his control over nature to attack.
Larxene was first introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, where she conspired with Marluxia to overthrow Organization XIII by using Sora as a puppet to wield his power. Larxene wields kunai and the power of thunder to fight and is known as the "Savage Nymph". She is agile and can call forth bolts of lightning in battle.
Roxas is the "Key of Destiny", and number XIII in Organization XIII. Roxas is the Nobody of Sora. Roxas was actually never meant to exist, since soon after Sora lost his heart to the darkness and became a heartless, he returned to the world of light. Xemnas found him in Twilight Town and gave him the epithet, "Key of Destiny". In battle, he uses the "Oathkeeper" and "Oblivion" Keyblades, which represent Sora's memories of Kairi and Riku, as well as the power of light. As a stronger Nobody, Roxas controls Samurai Nobodies. He was kidnapped by Riku and DiZ and used to restore Sora's memories.
