Sephiroth is a character from Final Fantasy VII (FFVII), also known as Final Fantasy 7. He appears in Kingdom Hearts as an optional boss in the Olympus Coliseum (Platinum Match). In Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, a cutscene plays after you defeat him in which Cloud encounters him. Cloud reveals that Sephiroth is his dark side and must be vanquished if Cloud is ever to be at peace. They fight in great battle, but the victor is never revealed.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Sephiroth is looking for Cloud, as Cloud is for him. Sephiroth and Cloud almost fight when the Army of Heartless attack Hollow Bastion, but Cloud flees when Tifa appears. As Sora, you can later find Sephiroth. As you approach him, he asks Sora who he is. Realizing that Sora is the Keyblade Master, he challenges Sora to a fight, hoping the Keyblade will change its mind about who its master is. Losing to him does not cause you to lose your Keyblade, and you can keep trying to beat him over and over again. If and when you win against him, he asks you to go find Cloud for him. Once you've done that, another cutscene plays. Sephiroth explains that no matter many times he is defeated, Cloud's darkness will call him back, and that Cloud will never let go of the darkness. They fight, and Cloud can barely hold up in battle against him. Tifa arrives again, and helps Cloud discover his light again. The victor of this fight is not revealed either, because Cloud and Sephiroth disappear in a flash of light to finish their fight elsewhere.

This makes your HP go to 1 and your MP go to 0. It is advised that you bring some Elixirs, if you have the growth abilities "Double Jump" and "Aerial Dodge" use it to reach Sephiroth. Attacking him with you Keyblade will stop his attack. In addition, he often uses flash after using this move. It is recommended that you block flash with Guard before healing, if you are damaged by the attack. The Ultima Weapon helps here with the ability MP Hastega. If your hit with Heartless Angel/Sin Harvest it helps build up MP quickly so you can use Curaga and regain hp.

[edit] Meteor Rain

This attack summons meteors from the sky to rain down on you. If you have Soar from the Master Form that's a good way to evade the meteors if Soar is leveled up enough.

[edit] Dark Orbs

Sephiroth will summon Dark Orbs to attack you, so cast Reflect to knock them away. It is also possible to knock them away with the Keyblade, although it takes longer, and if you do not get them all, then the remaining ones will immediately start to close in on you and inflict damage. He usually does this before Heartless Angel/Sin Harvest as a way of distracting you so you can't reach him to stop him from using that attack with that extremely long sword, Masamune.

Sephiroth teleports to you and knocks you into the air with his sword Masamune. Recover from it quickly or it might lead to serious damage. The Ultima Weapons ability MP Hastega helps recover from this and it also helps with attacking back.
